Let me introduce myself…

My name is Beany. As you can see I’m from Germany. I’m webmaster of one of Germany’s largest Corsa-A (Vauxhall Nova) homepages. At the moment we are working at some updates so not every area is available at the moment.

Today I would like to introduce my current projects to you.

First we have a 1992 Vauxhall Hatchback. In Germany it is called TR.

http://www.corsa-a.de/stuff/beany-project-01.jpg

It is a facelift model with a 1.2 litre engine and 45 Horsepower. We already assembled a 40mm suspension, a Astra GSI 16V Break and a Dietrich RS bumper in the front. The rest of the car is still in standard condition. It was my wife’s all day car.

http://www.corsa-a.de/stuff/corsatr-01.jpg

This will change this winter. We will change the suspension against 75/50mm springs with Spax dampers. I’m a Spax dealer in Germany so they are my first choice.

http://www.corsa-a.de/stuff/beany-project-02.jpg http://www.corsa-a.de/stuff/beany-project-03.jpg

The engine will be changes against a 1.6 litre GSI engine with a custom camshaft and a Bastuck exhaust system. The car body will be descaled and a custom paintshop is also liability like a brand new interior. The colour will be blueberry chrome.

At the moment the TR hast got 15” wheels. Dezent type C with 195/45/15 tires. We would like to put 16” wheels on the car, aren’t sure jet wich one we will choose. As a part dealer, many doors are open for your ideas.

The second one is a 1987 Vauxhall Nova cabriole.

http://www.corsa-a.de/stuff/beany-project-07.jpg

I bought only the body and the parts required for the roof. This car is going to be my masterpiece. I thought that as a webmaster you have to make something spectacular. So I decided to build a cabriole.

http://www.corsa-a.de/stuff/beany-project-08.jpg

It was customised by Irmscher in 1987 and I hope to drive it in April 2007. I will install a C20XE engine with a adjustable high dumping suspension kit and 18” wheels. I was inspired by Gavins Nova so I decided to install the big wheels. In GB it’s nothing special but here in germany we got a institution witch is called the T?V. They have to decide about technical modifications on your car. So very much things are not allowed here.

http://www.corsa-a.de/stuff/beany-project-10.jpg

I would like to drive a body kit from GB. I prefer the bat motorsport kit, but it is impossible for a german guy to buy it. They don’t answer emails, faxes phone calls.

The interior should be noble leather. A car pc will be a part of the multi media world. We will see. Before I can start a engine there is a lot of things to do. I got a small double garage where I can work quiet and without any disturbing people.

I hope that I can post some pictures about my projects.

Next two projects are finished on the drawing board. A fun nova with big engine and a totally original nova for the classic section.

Cheers

Beany

Ps. I forgot to show you my fun car. A Calibra Turbo with an EDS phase 3 ;)

Sending you some Rear lights souldn't be the problem. To collect some spare parts I'm always looking for novas to demount. Normaly the rear lights are going into trash because it is very rare that somebody is interested in them.

I must find out what sending a shoe carton to GB costs and then I need your adresses. If you wan't to swap your lights you can send me your light in the carton back and if you wan't to keep your light. But if you wan't to keep it then please pay the shipping costs.
We can use paypal for moneytransfer?

Wich side do you prefer? Two fog lights or two rear lights?

And well, maybe somebody can help me finding a bat motorsport bumper f?r my cab :)

I'm sure someone out there would be happy to buy the bumper you need then do a paypal transfer or something.

Welcome to the site... the cab looks like a nice project and the TR will look awesome. I love the RS bumper as well. I really want a 2 door saloon but as they are pretty rare to find over here I might just have to go fora 4 door.

On the continent the reverse & fog are switched basically. So ditching your reverse & having the fog from Germany makes twin fogs here of twin reverse clusters if done the other way.

Beany. How much do Connolly leathers from Astra (kadett E) mk2 sell for?

I also think we could exchange passenger seats with each other to create mint interior trims.

Euro twin fogs look sexy
http://www.loggyboy.com/images/sri/RearHi320.jpg

Beanygemrnay - i would be ver interested in setting up an exchange system for rear lights. Id also be interested in some dash trim and any mk2 hazard switches (I assume you guys have the same problem with weak mk2 hazard switches).

Also, do you have any french links? do you know if french Corsa As had the SRi model with the blue interior? as id like to go over there and do some passenger seat swaps (as they dont get the bolster wear that the drivers side gets)

so you can't get them over here then?????

I got my set from german sellers on ebay. you can get them from vauxhall bu they are about ?30 each (same price as a normal new light cluster)

ANd yes twin reverse will require a additional fog to pass mot, twin fog doesnt need any extra as reverse light isnt in MOT

With the twin reverse your fog has to be with... on the drivers side, in the centre or on both sides.

There was a guy on here before looking for Uk style rear lights for a straight swap for Euro spec ones not too long ago. But isn't it a bit awkward revesring with no reversing lights though? Just tint the lower half of the lights black and jobs a goodin.

All right mates. I was in my garage today looking for the lights. The bad message is that I had thrown away a couple of lights. At the moment there is one light on stock.

I will open a new threat in the right area to post the rules and conditions.

Cheers

Beany
