1.3 sr or 1.4 sr?

could someone tell me what would be worth gettin out of these two. my mates say that the 1.3 is quicker than the 1.4, why's that? what are the 0-60's and top ends for them both? and what sort of prices should i expect to pay for an average condition around '89?

not again!! :D, everyone will now go my car is quicker than yours.
get the 13 cheaper insurance. the 14 is quicker only cause its ever so slighty larger engine but there aint much in it
as for prices anything from ?700 up, the 14 will be slightly dearer though as there newer but u wont get an 89 14.
speeds, 0-60 10 secs - 12 secs dependant on mods, engine condition etc... top out about 110, even though the speedo will say 120ish.

The 1.4 is faster, but the 1.3 engine is free-er reving for some reason! I think it might have a smaller flywheel! I'm thinking that the 1.4 is a better choice as there is very little difference in price to buy, but if u decided to put a 1.4 engine into a 1.3 u would be looking at twice the cost. :(
