ive got a gsi and after taking off my rear bumper i found both corners of floor were rotton i pulled my whole toe eye unit off with ease whats the best thing to do weld plate over/around or try and get a new boot pan and weld that in im not sure can you get new boot floors?:confused: And how much ? any advice ???

Think boot floors can be had. Depending how bad it is I'd plate it otherwise half the back end of the car will have to be pulled apart.

Ive just had mine done. Its not pretty but it'll do.

As long as your not stripping the interior anything will do lol.

The carpet hides it all anyway. :thumb:

Damn. Mines being stripped!

Ive seen some awfull repairs though, that probably wouldnt pass the MOT.

I had a small patch put in on my suspension turret at the front for my old SR.
1 year on I scrapped it and tapped very lightly with a screw driver.... bloody thing fell straight out.

The GTE has been patched in the boot... doesnt look very pretty but seems strong enough.

If your finding rot in the boot i'd also check other places more thoroughly too. Inner wings,turrets etc etc.
