Battery tray cover?

Hi guys im needing some help with removing the battery tray guard thing in my engine bay like this:-

My first problem is removing it, it looks to be spot welded to the inner wings bulkhead side but how is it held in place where it joins the bulk head?

The second problem is how do i mount the wiper motor once it has been removed? ive seen a few with it half removed but im wanting to get rid completely ideally

I presume you mean removing the bulkhead !?

unless your doing it for inlet optimisation (tb's, carbs) then i wouldn't bother !

You can use a AX motor under the scuttle.
Or leave the part that the motor bolts to, and cut the rest out.

It is spot welded.

Cheers longlive the nova so do you just drill out the welds and fill them in with weld later then?

Not sure mate, i've never removed one.

You probably do just drill out the welds yeah.
