im not having a go here ste / rexy but both your cars would look slightly nicer with a set of new plates with smaller lettering? - not having a go just using as example, 90% of cars have dirty massoooooove lettering number plates

That's not true. My mate iss a rep for Signum number plates. They don't have to put their details on if they are SHOW PLATES and how can the police prove that you bought them after 2004 (when the postcode law came in!) or if you bought them from Scotland (where the postcode law isn't valid)

They can make you standard plates without their details on, and sell them as show plates.

Just say you bought them in 2003. You are innocent until proven guilty!

i got pulled for my plates for the reason of the garage/motor factors postcode etc etc

when i reminded her that i was from scotland, she promptly shut up hehe.

I didnt know about the plate law. I just got some (last week) in standard font, with a boarder and vaux badge on the end. The letters are a tiny bit smaller (thinner), like how they use to be. Dosent look smaller, unless you compare two next tio each other.

Unless your either driving like a ****, or have some blatent illigal mods, they wouldnt pull you just for the plates. My dad has some really italic swqiggaly font on his mondeo, was never pulled once in over a year. And some of its just down to luck.

hmm, my plates are show plates and they have got slanted lettering with a different font and they are tinted... you cant even tell iv got one on the front from far away!! i haven't gone over the top and got mad/tiny letters, its perfectly clear what it says and i have never been pulled for them but i think that the police round here got a soft spot for me... kept my old ones tho coz i know the day will come!! i will play miss innocent (it's good being a girl!!).

i got a set of normal number plates from coolplates.co.uk or similar for naff all mail order. they do, do showy type ones but i wanted plain non postcoded plates for the wenchs car.

the reason i have them lights was coz my mates car got wrote off and he didn't wanna get rid so i swapped with him as i had already smashed my rear light (oops) so actually i am having standard lights but i wanna get 1 euro light so they are symmetrical coz i like that.
