can these fit onto a small block? if they do i know they will need modding but how
just use an F15 and save some hassle......
with the pikey way some of this engine is going together its not going to make the power you want for long enough to break the box :p

LOL Stu.
iIm unsure as to the crank/flywheel bolt pattern on the small16v you have Baxter. Basically find a big block flywheel that fits your crank. Use the corresponding clutch. Use F20/28 etc with usual mounts & big block conversion shafts.
Keep with the F15 you already have
Lot of pi**ing about for hardly any gain imo. Lol
People use Ph2 let's with a f16 box, so yours should be fine with a f15 , if it breaks just get another for ?20 :p,Lol.
The numbers are supposed to be how much torque they take iirc? So F15 might be fine.

I was puttin 170lb/ft through my F13. Never groaned or whined. I replaced the fluid annually in appreciation.
i thought it meant that box was good for 'x' amount of power
eg.
F10 = 100bhp
F13 = 130bhp
F15 = 150bhp
etc
but you can run more power though them, they just break quicker.
As said, use F15's (better buy a few)

no no no no no no
its the rated continuous torque in NM.
as for "how" long that torque can be run for is beyond me lol. So they can take MORE torque than the F number suggests but life is limited.
saying that there are NO internal differences between an F10 and F13 (bar a 4/5spd varaint lol)
What about a F15? Different to F10/13 iirc?
the F15 is basically the F13 casing with a baby F20 style assembly.

ah, cheers for clearing that up, i thought it would be more to do with torque than bhp.

im with stu on this one, the engine will probably spit its dummy out before the box. Use the F15 until / if it breaks then maybe decide to go for another box.

The above is true.
How would technical discussions & our knowledge progress without asking these questions though?

Good point very well made!
well 1.5 and 1.7td blocks are the same apart from the bore obviously and theres an f18 bolted to my 1.7 so i guess they fit on a small block aswell as the 1.5 had the f13
