anyone bolted base mounted buckets straight to the floor?

right iv been wanting buckets for ages. i want side mounted ones, but i just want some cheaper ones for now. but i hate the slide mount rubbish personaly! so was thinking of getting base mounted buckets then just making something to bolt to the seat then just bolt straight to the floor.
was thinking of monaco's

could this work?
any one done this to theres?
