i have got a 2l 8v engine to put in to my nova can i take out the old 1.2 SPI loom and replace it with the 2l one or do i have to cut it and join it in to the 1.2 loom?

ul need to do a bit more than that. mounts, shafts, loom and splice in, linkage, gsi/gte/sri tank and pump
Hi mate, i fitted a 2.0 8v into one of the lads at works nova 1.2spi. I dragged the 1.2 loom into the car and took out all the spi stuff, as it's part of the main car loom. Not a nice job, but it looked loads neater when done. Probably worth getting someone good with vauxhall wiring to do it if you're not confident enough yourself. You'll also need the complete engine wiring harness from your donor car, including the ecu, and the other stuff stafford mentioned.

i relise that mate but only askin about wiring have got mounts etc!
