An excellent tuning diagnostic tool, the Air Fuel Ratio meter gives a visual indication of the efficiency of your engine. By using your cars original Lambda sensor (or by fitting an aftermarket sensor), the unit calculates the ratio of air to fuel in the intake mixture and displays it via a series of LED's indicating lean to mid to rich. This allows the mixture to be altered for maximum power or fuel efficiency. Available in 2 options of 3 colour LED meters: 10 LED meter or 19 LED meter. The 19 LED meter has data logging facilities.

Dont bother with a narrow band one matey they are really crap, the give you an indication of what your mixture is like but they are not really accurate enough to tell you wether you mixture is rich or lean.

I have seen turbocharged cars fitted with narrowband sensors where the gauge has said that the mixture was fine when really the car was running a bit lean, unfortunatly it was lean enough to melt a piston.

As said get a wide band sensor off ebay they are much better

if your using the std sensor then its going to tell you feck all usefull.... bar that its NOT running Lambda 1 (either rich or lean, no progression)

you really need a wideband lambda sensor and suitable display/driver for it, esp if you intend to map the 1600 reliably ;)

For sure. Wide band or narrow band isnt the size of the display. LOL

Wide band means its able to measure & display accross a wider spectrum of the mixture. The narrow band isnt as sensitive & yet could tell you its stoich even when it isnt. Tbh that Lumenition thing is a gimmick really.

Not to mention how much pub cred you would have blagging about your wide band.
