is it a corsa sport or gsi engine,

im looking to get some samco hoses

and the sport ones are ?30 more
any diff?

i think its a 1.6 16v but not tottaly sure.

Lol we know its a 1.6 16v mate, think its corsa gsi, i thought corsa sport's were 1.4's??

But dont take my word for it

the X16XE is the Corsa Sport 1.6 engines and the C16XE are Corsa GSi engines. C16XE has slightly more bhp, bout 3 or 4 as it is Non Ecotec.

yeh i also thought sports were 1.4's, although my freind seems to claims his is a 1.6 sport??

there was a corsa sport 1.6 too i believe and that was the x16xe, the gsi was the c16xe

Only early GSI's were c16xe. Late ones were x16xe afaik.
All sports were x14xe/x16xe.

early 1.4 were sri erarly 1.6 were gsi

then they made sports which were both 1.4 or 1.6

^^ yeah, i had an SRi on an M reg but it had the Sport 16v engine in as it was on the change over year

Late '94 and 1995 corsa SRi also had the sport x14xe engine.

it was something to do with the insurance correct?

gsi = 10+ group
sport 4-5 group

altho they have the same engine

No they dont, thats the 1400 16v sport.

The 1600 16v is i think a grp less than the early gsi.

Early SRi = c14se

Sport 1.4 = x14xe
Sport 1.6 = x16xe

Sport was probably higher spec, air con and all that s**t, so has more hoses...

How will they fit your nova tho? Corsa has different rad, expansion tank in different place etc etc.

i only want the 2 pipes

of which are corsa items anyway


ps. both hose kits have 4 hoses in them
