thought i would make my own thread instead of stealing some1 elses, i have a 1.2i with a four speed gear box. What would i need to drop the 1.4 sri engine in and how hard is it? thanks alot for the help ppl

piece of piss fitting an engine.....

going to need an mpi tank or mpi pump for spi tank...
use the same driveshafts

has the engine got a box, if not, i'd get one, wouldn't use your 4 speed box with it

just a few wires to start it

It might not even fit depending on the age of the SRi engine.

A CR 5 speed box is best to use :thumb:

Just get a SRi engine with a gearbox.
No probs then :)

is it hard to fit the gear box i was just trying to keep t as simple as possible

Not if its already bolted to the engine when you get it...

Get a crane and lift the engine out the top, much easier.
No pi**ing with tie rod arms then with bolts that dont move,Lol.

yes thank you!! least one person agrees with me! lol but thats because you tried and tested it! like me! and yer no messing with anti roll bars or what ever and struggling to lift the car over the engine!
