Rough running :(

My 1.4 has got a strange running problem, I recently put the standard Pierburg carb on as my Weber needs setting up badly, and it was using way too much fuel (?10 a day to get to work!)
So now I have better mpg until I can get the weber re-jetted etc.

The engine runs OK and ticks-over nicely, but every now-and-then it decides to tick-over really low and wants to stall, but if I turn the ignition off, then start it again it is fine?!?!?!

WHat can it be, its the same every time, just cut it out then start it again and its fine?

kev at the moment mine is doing the same!
it has no power what so ever check the fuel pump sometimes they need cleaning out!
i am doing mine 2morrow so i will see if it has helped

what happens to the revs is you rev it?? Does it then idle normal??

sounds like your choke sticking.
my sisters astra was doing the same thing on her 14 engine.
so my advice get the weber on and get it tuned, cos your gonna need a tune anyway by sounds of things.

novas and carbs are a fucking nitemare me thinks
is it warm enough to stick my K&N filter back on yet ;)
