Can anyone tell me if the top mounting point on the radiator (its a bracket that the cooling fan bolts on to) sits under the upper slam panel (eg the bit than the bonnet locks into) or does it sit under it...

nah - not in haynes - only one pic and it doesnt show that part of the car.

I'm pretty sure its under - otherwise Id see chaffing on the panel...

anyone else advise? or can anyone take a pic of the back of their upper slam panel...

its on the underside of the panel near to the stat housing on mine,running 2.0xe so u get the pic. the other bracket is on passenger side chassis end panel. good luck ade.
