1.3CAM in a 1.2

Right i have just put a 1.3 sr cam in to my 1.2 and it running like its miss firing like just running 3 cylinders. I think it could be coz the ingnition timing maybe out now but anyone have any other ideas, also has anyone else tryed this one b4?

Thers so many things to check m8, but I`ll name a few.

1. Are your head bolts don up properly?
2. Did you mrk the distributor position b4 removing it?
3. You will need to adjust the mixture
4. are u sure all of the leads oare on properly and in the correct order?

If you are still having probs I can pop over to ya and give you a hand.

timing id say cause the 1.3 cam will fit in the 1.2 i think they might even b the same y didnt u go for a high lift cam or somin ill b sellin a fastroad ast1 kent soon if ur intrested

the 1.3 cam was free and its half way 2 a hight lift!! i am recconing its definately the timing which i should be sorting soon!!

Yep...the 1.3 cam has a lift of 6mm on both inlet and outlet.
The 1.2 has a lift of 5.1mm - inlet, and 5.5mm - exhaust.

my high lift piper cam has summit like 10mm ov lift if i rember rightly (might be wrong though)
whats the car like now did u getr improvements?
like i siad in chat i was told it makes em faster but i still havent dont the green on coz my handbrake decideid it wanted to stop working!
