anti roll bars

Whats the differece between all the anti roll bars, e.g. sr/gte/gsi

Gsi/GTE are 22mm
SR/SRI are 20mm
I think??
Also they are expensive.I was just quoted ?165 for an sri 1 but I went to a screppy tonite and got one for ?25.Bit of Rust but I think It'll be fine.

Do antiroll bars noticably enhance road handling, or r they just a subtle mod that when combined with others gives an overall increase in handling??:)

They do make a big difference if you are on standard suspension, not so much if you already have uprated springs.

i put one on my std 1.2 and it has fucked up the handleing! it skips lots more so i have a lot more understeer!!! mind you if i only do country rd's then the corners arent that tight ne way.

Cambridge did you only put a front one on? This would cause more weight transfere on to the front outside wheel during cornering. On a FF car the engine weight already loads the front outside too much, so you should be stiffening up the rear to help transfere the weight to the outside rear wheel. What I am saying is, try a rear roll bar on it's own or front and rear but not a front on it's own as it will probably make understeer worse.

saloons only have a rear bar

Noooo.....1.0 saloons don't have anti-roll vars, and the 1.2/1.3's have them front and rear.

BTW, I got a front one for ?8 and rear one for ?5, both from an SR.

Also, ALL 1.3 Novas have front a rear anti-roll bars - NOT JUST THE SR.
