I have thought bout trying to find a clean mark 2 shell, just wondering how easy it is to find, and how much because all i need is the shell and ill just swap my engine for it. Anyone else done this before?

i got an sri shell half the engine is there whole interior ect solid underneath one arch starting to bubble but no over the lip its been sitting in my garage for over a year and it was mint when it went in there. does need a new slam pannel but to cut a long story short 100 quid not too far away either just need shot of it so i can put my blue one in there. mite be worth a look

Just they tend to have been hoarded by the OAP population of britain lol

yer cheers womble, but its not gonna be til beginning of next year, aint got the money, still got find the money for insurance:mad: but that should be ok, just wondered if you could still get them, but obviously yes............and yer nick i know what you mean! argh old people!!!!!

NEVER pay over the odds for a shell.... these people wanting over ?700 for a poxy 1.2 wiv da wikkia gmax suspension and subz init need a slap.... as for pre valvered novas, sod paying that premium unless your drunk lol

It is alright for some, becuse the remainder of parts i sold for a tidy ?200. So the car cost me bugger all tbh!!

chimp havent got any pics could get some best to come have a look minute journey in about 10 mins from hertford its not that far.

Theres plenty of minters around for ?200-?400, i've seen quite a few advertised locally, 12months MOT etc, ?250ono etc.

i know its not a mk2 but i have a mint mk1 no rust never been welded in its life on a d reg and waiting for a 20 16v to be rehomed pictures to follow very soon.

prob with minters is knowing where to look and spending time poking about them before parting eith the cash.

As I found out today though there can be hidden horrors. Under seal and sound deadening can hide a host of nightmares!
