That wasn't supposed to happen !!

Had the Nova on the road about 3 weeks, been running sweet as well (other than needing a new clutch !) ... a mate popped round this afternoon & we decided to go for a quick blast got off my estate and about 1/4 mile up the road and .... bang !! one bonnet across the windscreen !!

Damage looks to be Bent scuttle panel, Bent hinges & bent bonnet. Luckly the wings & screen are ok !!
Totally my fault as i had been fiddling on under the bonnet earlier on and had just rested the bonnet down without shutting it propperly !!
I would've normally noticed it but after i reversed it out the garage my mate closed the door behind me and jumped in !!
Could've been worse i suppose but still doesnt make me feel any better !

Dunno ? had just floored it in 3rd !! maybe got to about 50 - 55 ?
Been lucky really, only thing thats gonna be a ball ache is sorting the hinges.

Could have been worse, thankfully doesn't seem to be much damage...

The number of cars I've seen driving about lately though with bonnets open is astounding! Easily done though, I did it once on my hatch but luckily noticed the bonnet flapping about before I got up to speed (rock solid suspension has its advantages lol)
