i've dented the manifold, it's not cracked, but is this going to have any kind of an effect at all?

cheers

Very little I would have thought, maybe a couple of ponies at high revs but I doubt you would really notice anything.

hmmm... every little helps, but don't fancy purchasing a new manifold... anyone else?

doubt it would have much impact on power.

Well what other kind of answer are you looking for?

The fact is that you squashed the exhaust manifold, this will impeed the flow of exhaust gases out the engine and will have a detrimental affect on the performance of the engine.

You won't damage anything by running the car like that and probably wouldn't notice any signifigant power loss. However, if you are looking for maximum power you will want to get it changed.

ok fair play. i know the best thing for him to do would be to replaice the manifold perhaps even for an uprated one while hees at it

i not doubting you, i know it's going to impeed flow, but if it's not enough to notice, i will leave it till i get my sump guradr in october and then look for a new one.

it is a uprated manifold, janspeed 4-1
