I'm shopping around for new tyres for my speedline allesios. I'm looking for something with good grip but with a very slim tyre wall. I ran toyo proxies before but had trouble with catching the front arch, so a slimmer tyre would hopefully help.

Any suggestions? 195 - 45 - 16

I have in my possession at the moment a set of 195/45 16 Michelin exaltos and also a set of Yokohama A539's in the same size.

The michelins have a built in rim protector so the side wall does stick out a fair bit near the rim. The Yokohamas also have a rim protector but not quite a big as the michelins.

Don't know if this is any use - I can send some pics if it would help!!!

You should get 195/40/16 tyres! I have them on my wheels and they look great. I originally had Dunlop?s then tried the continentals but didn?t like them as much and went back to the Dunlop?s! Just personally preference.

yes as stated, its a similar situation to 195 45 15s over 195 50s..

the 50s give the more correct rolling dia, but 45s will stop the arches catching as badly..

if you go for 40s you should find the catch less.

alternatively, go for plain function and switch to 15s
