Had a small mission ahead of me today in preparation for Cheltenham tomorrow.

After the crash I had on the way to PV...

I couldnt leave it looking like that for too long. I had straightened it out a bit & fitted some spare lamps I had knocking about. So I set about getting to the breakers before 12 & then wipping the fr end off & chiselling off the old & very bent fr panel.

Jacked & removing the active carbon canister, bumper & wings etc.

Old panel removed & tidying with a grinder & hammer commenced. We opted to put in a couple patces on the outer sides of the inner wings (does that sound right?).

Heres a patch we put in which meant there was some solid metal to weld into

Welded in nice & putting back all the fittings, bonnet stay & clips etc

Looking dashing with the non coordinating new bonnet.

All in a good afternoons graft. Just needs a hoover out before setting off to Cheltenham. Btw folks this is my BEATER!

Its not. It is solid though.

Bumper soon perhaps. Ive got a WIP thread for my GSi so this was just an 'anti-rozz/tidy up exercise'.

Had some cool ideas regarding the spray gun. Could be cool for the next meet. Got the grille fitting a bit better now too.
