I've seen one at Combe. It was completley black and sounds like a jet when running. I've tryed finding some photos to confirm the reg but haven't found any. The owner posts on the Castle Combe Forum under the username XR2Turbo.

just been on castle combe website and registerd! i found that black xr2 and it doesnt look the same altho that doesnt meen anything as people like to modify there cars especialy over 8 or 9 months! but it seems to be an older bloke who owns that xr2 on combe website and the lad that bought it was only about 19 ish and didnt seem to know much about cars! but hopefully something will turn up!

getting closer again! a lad on another forum i go on (metropower.co.uk) said he knows where the car is and that the bloke works at an mot station! now all i gotta do is find out which one and phone up and speak to him! he might find it a bit weird tho if i phone up asking about the car! i drove a fair few miles in it and fell in love more and more every mile so just wanna know how its going!

i always fancied the idea of a mk2 xr2 turbo myself......and thats a pretty nice one i have to say

what size are the wheels?.........

as i heard they were pretty hard 2 get even 15 inchers on without rubbing and handling issues

im pretty sure they are 16's! they are off a fiesta zetec s! i know they never rubbed atall and the car was lowerd! but usualy wheels on an xr2 stick out a fair way but these seem to sit in the arches nicely! that car wasnt overly fast but it was just the sound of a turbo and a dump valve that did it for me! and the fact that i have loved xr2's since i was a little boy makes it all go together! it was a brilliant car to drive thru town and always turned heads! i realy should have bought it but that lad in burton got the money a week before me! i was gutted!!!
