at the omen my steering is fucked i spoke to a mechanic and they said for ?100 he will fix it will two new ball joints and track rod end but then i saw i can get a secondhand sterring rack for 15 with the track rod ends on it worth doing this and fitting it myself or paying some?cos i woulddo t jus cant be bothered at the moment

i did mine 2weeks ago. easy peasy. follow haynes manual.
i put in a reconditioned rack and new track rod ends.
?7 per track rod end, ?23 rack.
probably nothin wrong with rack but 1 balljoint was well broke.
pain in the arse to get the old ends off the rack though.

PS to get the rack out u hav to turn it upside down to get it out the wheel arch.

where did u get them from at halfords its 50 for a new rack and 15 for track rod end

I had to warm the track rod end up with welding bottles to get the fucker off! (you`ll need the tracking setting again as well) Do it yorself and save some money!!!

i got the parts from i wee autoparts shop near me.
much cheaper than halfords.
