my m8 has a 1.2i i changed this to a 1.2 bottom wit a 1.2 carbed head skimmed wth a sr 1.3/1.4 carb wit pipper cam pretty quick to.
i wouldnt put a 1.6 carb on the carb would flood the engine

1.2's a single choke if i remember rightly, 1.6's are twin so wont fit onto the manifold.

use a 1.2 carbed heads (12nv) they have the big ports and the 1.3/1.4 sr carb is twin choke aswell

what are the differences between the 1.2i and 1.2 bottom end.

im just interested as my nova started out as a 1.2i and despite the low-ish mileage 59000,i could not live with the 50 odd BHP performance.

i was just goin to scrap the engine but if the block's are the same i might keep it for a future project.

cant see me buying anything but another nova lol
