look mate if your having to ask questions like

wat do i cut and keep?
then you really shouldnt be attempting to destroy this nova, you are loosing about 80% of the cars strength by cutting the roof off, so u risk making ur car into an even bigger death trap.

not true i found once the mk2 astra tailgate was welded it it made it stronger than it was before, i was jumping on the roof and not a sungle crease. and have a look threw here for some rough ideas, if you want specific help with certain bits then feel free to ask

so you wouldnt reccommend strengthning the sills when you remove the rear roof pillers then?

so you wouldnt reccommend strengthning the sills when you remove the rear roof pillers then?nope i didnt. providing the astra tailgate that you use is welded all the way round then they are solid. i even did jumps one night in my pick-up and it was fine lol

oh dear! doing jumps on a nova is a bit diferent to metal fatigue caused by constant cornering.
i dont see how welding a half assed bootlid on the back can make up for the triangulation lost by removing the rear roof section?
