i personally wouldnt recomend rear discs on a car so short. as it will gice a tendency to swap ends rather easily. but thats just my opinion.

Ok, alot of guess work going on here but at least it's something:
From what I've read you need modified handbrake cable to mate with the astra rear calipers, plus the revelant beam to mount it all on. As for prices, Novatech supply the kit for ?450 on an exchange basis, but that should include everything you need. Also, if you look on the trader they do come up sometimes, last one I saw was a week or 2 ago, Colin Smith had a dsic braked rear beam using nylon bushes golf calipers etc. a real competition piece, and he only wanted ?200 for it, so it may be worth looking on trader if it can save you that much. Hope that helps a little, I'm sure someone who knows alot more will answer shortly.

I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT YOU NEED A BRAKE BIAS VALVE TO STOP THE REAR LOCKING UP SO EASILY. CAUSE I AM LOOKING AT IT ASWELL. I HAVE FOUND A BLOKE IN WALES THAT SELLS REAR DISC AXLES FOR 125+25 FOR THE HANDBRAKE CABLE CONVERSION

best to put a brake bias in. u can use the astra rear beam as well, this bolts straight on,although u have to modify the stubs, otherwise its to wide,i havnt had to do this as ive got a wide arch kit :),this is alot cheaper than buying a kit, also why not just make any brackets to fit the hanbrake cable.

I havn't finished the guide yet because, after a few test runs I have found the rears are locking before the fronts, resulting in some sideways action! I may have to fit a bias valve, but I am hoping when I fit 288mm brakes on the front (nova gte at moment) it will be balanced, allowing the fronts to lock first.:) .
Plese don't let busses pull out.

I have got rear disks, with 288mm disks on the front and have'nt had any problems with the back locking up first yet, seems to be ok. Anyone after having some rear disks done. mail R&M Novelopments on martinhill30@hotmail.com and they'll be able to sort a rear disk conversion out for a decent price.
