Thats been on here before and people weren't impressed the first time around. This site exists to preserve, maintain and modify Novas, not treat them like sh!t and send them in ever greater numbers to the scrapheap. I'm not telling you how you should use what is your property, but only to show you that we aren't really interested/impressed with what you do with it.
As said previously, he's just wasted ~?300 of Nova lol
Wish I was clever.:thumb:
What a waste of a pretty rare 3 door saloon shell!
Next time, do it with no helmet you tool!
we would have laughed more if it was a ford though.....but not much more

You must understand that it was draged out of a scrapyard and nurcherd back to health, this is a modified nova can you not see. im all up for restoring novas and so is my brother since hes restored about three now that were all destined for the scrap heap but this one had no hope. you must also understand before we rolled it this nova was like one of the family just like any other nova weve owned and by the way it just wasnt a waste of 300 pound not only was it well past its best for an mot but the amount of fun we had in that thing rallying it around the feilds and the entertainment of the vid is worth it its self. if you enjoyed the video fine if you didnt dry your eyes theres plenty more fcukd novas in the sea

Therealnovaboy,
i have seen from your posts that you are very pasionate about your novas. i think that most of the users of this forum dont appreciate your nova antics because their passion is greater than yours.
its easy to tell how strong these people feel about preserving these cars, because they would rather destroy a minted GTE shell to fit a 2l XE or a LET or even hack the back end out to fit a rear engine. after reading this i took some time to search the posts you had on this forum regarding saloons. i found this thread http://www.novaload.net/forum/showthread.php?t=66593&page=4
theres a white saloon on there with front end/nr side chassis leg damage.
am i right in seeing your car on another site with worse damage? that you repaired and is still going strong?
i truely take my hat off to you sir, many folk on here would have scrapped that car and not tried to sort it.
i sincerely hope that white saloon was repaired, or they would have been more guilty of destroying a good saloon than you.
be safe folks!
I haven't posted in this thread before now because I couldn't give a rats a$$ what anyone else does to their own car.....however saying that, posting up a video of someone destroying a Nova, on purpose on a Nova forum is asking for harsh responses. I?m sure the same response would be universal on any car based forum. If you went and bought a Mk1 Escort and then got someone to drive it in to a wall to destroy it. Put that up on Passionford, the responses would more than likely be the same as this thread has got.
Anyway the reason that I?m posting is this

How can you compare smashing up a Nova on purpose to modifying one? If this is your logic then any modification to any car is destroying it. That my friend is just plain stupid!

im sure as the real nova boy suggests, the car was indeed beyond repair, as he has such a passion for these cars, i refuse to believe that he would ruin a repareable nova.
however, taking a rare museum example of a car like the GTE and removing much metal with an angry metal grinder is just a shame for such a car. seeing as this car in the video was still running, im sure it could yeild many useful spares to keep therealnovaboys novas running and in a good working example.
modifying is a crime, these cars must be preserved or will be no more precious novas left in Englandshire!
museum example... GTE ?
No offence to all nova owners, but nova's are novas. Cheap, Badly made shopping cars.
The only nova that will come close to Museum quality, are Sports !

this man has no passion for novas.
i saw a nova sport on a site with a 2litre XE engine in it, i had to cry shame! shame on you!
i thought this site made love to the saviour of the nova/corsa A
Englandshire!
LMFAO thats great lol
hahahha, i have no passion for novas !?
Ahh, so i'm not the one who took a 1200, and built a nion XE power 1600 for it, instead of loosing originality and fitting a XE ? I musn't be then.
Novas were cheap mass produced cars. They're not engineering, design, revolutionary, technical masterpeices.
However, you can make them perform well for not much money !
if i had alot more cash than i do, i'd have picked a car that handled properly in the first place lmfao

lmfao, got some serious rollage on that. Its a nova ffs, and not exactly a prime example of one either. Bet you would all cry if i tell you ive crashed a saloon into numberous posts and used it has some step ladders when doing some painting.
Right, just seen this post. Those of you that dont like it, get over it. I'm sure we've all destroyed, or laughed about some dodgy shopping trolly, whatever it may be being destroyed, so get off your High Horse. Anyone that had done Rallying, Rally Cross or usually any other type of motorsport will have destroyed some motor at some stage. I myself have mangled many, at least 3 of them Novas. IF thats what people are in to, and they do it in a safe enviorment (sp) so be it.
PS, how hard are Novas to roll? I almost broke my Ar trying to roll one and the **** wouldn't go over!!!

for gods sake people, the lad didnt mean to offend any of you. he was just having a laugh and at the end of the day, it was a knackered old 3 door saloon which probably had more holes in it than a block of cheese! leave the kid alone, he loves novas and if this car actually had any potential whatsoever im sure he wouldnt have trashed it.
