Engine oil leaks or not are irrelevant for an mot iirc, and why are irish testers strict? are the governed by the ministry of transport? should be the same as british test then surely?

dear god stu dont be so ****ing optomistic lol

mark - wheel bearings all good

other boy - english mots unless its changed can be done at a any approved garage but here in ireland you have to take it to a test centre nearest to you. 90% of the things are checked by a machine so there is no over ruling anything e.t.c

usual stuff in my experience has been;

Headlamp alignment.
Handbrake adjustment (cable pull).
Hazard warning switch.
Bulbs (dont ask).
Rust (again dont mention)

Do the springs dislocate when jacked up? thats a failure.

Good luck.

Both mine used to fail on corroded rear chassis legs and rear inner arch, everything else was usually fine. Oh, and the Mk2 hazard switch never working properly lol.
