Would a 1.2 nova with drilled air box, back box, and a 1.3sr cam be as quick as a 1.3sr? roughly?

Why are the 1.2 heads good anyway? (that's a question by the way, not a criticism!)

1.2 heads are better flowed and give higher compressing when fitted to 1.3 engine

remember just cause it is from a larger capacity engine does not mean it is better

I thought they where the same!

The spec is the same in the Haynes.

It a 1.3 is better with a 1.2 head, then that might explain why mine feels quicker than other 1.3's I've driven.

I bought a fully re-conditioned head for my old 1.2 engine, but before I could fit it, the engine went bang!
Anyway, I fitted a 1.3 SR engine, and fitted the 1.2 head to it, having been told they are the same (by members of the PNG)

I want my 1.2 to be just a little bit quicker than SRs,I was hoping to do this with a 1.3SR cam, janspeed backbox,a bolt on filter,n getting it rolling road tuned, timing etc. what do you reckon ste?-is there anything else I can do to it on the cheap to make it quick/er?
