get a hole drill... will cost ?20 max

has an attachment to fit a small drill bit in the middle to get a centre and the then a hole cutter attaches to it... we use them at work all the time for metal and plastic.

Thats what I was thinking, its worth trying a holesaw on sheet metal, even if it blunts one its not the end of the world as they are cheap and will only be used for a couple of cuts. You could always weld a plate around the hole you have cut to strengthen it.

ill buy one 57mm as the 51mm is the bore of the ID of the pipe,

screw fix dont even sell tiger seal :(

When your using a hole saw... make sure you don't push it hard and fast onto the metal as it breaks the teeth off.... (thank my dad for that one)

i only used screw fix as an example, was the first site that popped up on google :) have a look on ebay.

use a cutting paste, and dont push too hard as matt said. if it bites into the metal it will hurt you...

Trick with holesaws, if possible clamp a piece of wood behind them so the centre bit can keep the hole centered, I dont know how possible that'll be for you though lol.
