.....am i missing something? or is this meant to be finished? Also im fairly sure your not allowed to have harnesses attached to a strut brace.

It is MPS performance's work.... its my old car, and yes I soon was told about the rear harness legalities!

The car was never finished, I broke it for spares as it p*ssed me off!

(I tried to get 18" wheels to fit <--- Bad idea)

depends if its welded in or just held on with a few self tappers lol.

that one looks alloy or stainless so guess its not welded.
stupid buggers thats just dangerous.

if there were two people up front in a head on that would just come clean off. nasty

It was bolted through the arches, yes it was polished stainless steel, and as I already said, I soon found out it was incorrect to mount the harnesses like that and changed it!

Hence I now have a full FIA approved cage with a proper harness bar!!!

Rob77
22-08-06, 01:40 AM
I picked mine up second hand (obviously never rolled though!!!)

I have currently got it bolted in, but I will be welding it in, and tagging it into the A and B pillars for extra strength and rigidity.

Rob77

Yeh - best way.

Ideally will be extending the cage to the front strut tops if I get the time this summer, other wise it will be done at christmas.

i like the way ur thinkin bout extending the cage to the front struts.

u sound like my kind of nova man lol

not just a chav with a bodykit and a stainless half cage then

Rob77
22-08-06, 02:13 AM
No not at all!!!

I did like the bodykit thing at first, but soon realised where my true love lied - with weight loss and amazing handling!

So then came the next project which is the white one!

A true Nova!
