Round rubber ones :D

Man i'm funny

Imo Goodrich, Goodyear and Pirelli, have had many and not been dissapointed with any of these, there are the obvious yokahomas etc, but they tend to scrub to quickly.

Goodrich have been the best in the wet for me which is always a good thing.

Depends what you want them for, but for road tyres I'd say either Eagle F1s if its dry, or Falken FK452 if its wet/dry - considerably cheaper than the F1s as well.

eagle F1's in the wet AND dry rock imho and last well... 25K on the back of the omega.

the bridgestones on the VX suck ass.. mind you that could be the gay front size.

Eagle F1's do last well, I'll give them that. My front pair covered about 20k; but seemed to loose grip pretty quickly after that (even with a fair amount of tread left). Stuck them on the back temporarily until I got the Kazeras on, and the car's ar*e was all over the shop lol

I had standard size Pirelli P7s on the BMW 730i and they were far superior in the wet and dry to the P6000s it was wearing when I bought the car. They were a bit more road-noisy and I didn't get a chance to see how long it took to wear them out.
Toyo T1rs are best in their price range in the wet and dry but don't last five minutes (but at the price, who cares?)
I've currently got Kumho KU31s in 185 55 14 on the Cavalier steelies as a budget option (no point in having F1s on a 1.2 Merit....!)and are far better (especially in the wet) than Wang-lis/Nangkangs/Johnny Wongs I've driven on before, I'll just have to see how they cope with mileage.

If you just want grip in the dry and don't mind the tyre not lasting long then the Toyo R888's rock! They will be shocking/dangerous in very wet weather i.e. standing water. But work supprisingly well in damp conditions.

Also Yokohama A048's give the same grip as the R888's but last longer. However they also cost about twice the price. Im sure you can get these in different compounds as well.

Another good tyre if you can get the size are the Yokohama A032's You can also get these in different compounds.

^^ those are the daddies i have Toyo 888's, not for road use though. I have some gay P6000 for road use which have lasted since i built the car doing many a track day in them and still they have nearly full tread on.

Yup, R888's are the canines cods, and mine have lasted surprisingly well, but they WILL be dead after combe lol

Hankook are starting to bring out some seriously good performance tyres too, namely the Ventus RS-2, seriously good rubber!!

hmm like i said in a similar post the other day, F1's are the daddy for all round performance, excellent in the dry and i have the same confidence in the wet using them, which is why i use them for a wet tyre on track if it rains.

To the person who said they arent worth it on a 1.2, lets put it this way, its the rubber that keeps you on the road at the end of the day, aqua planing/weather conditions and the like are not engine dependant :tard: .

I have only once ever owned a car with ditch seekers on it, and they lived up to their name even though being driven within the realms of normality.
