On my latest project - I've come up against a small problem

I need to convert a front suspension strut from a Cav/Calibra/Astra to a short bodied strut
I'm in the process of converting to a 2.5 inch adjustable platform, but to enable sufficient suspension travel - I'm planning to shorten the body so to elimate bottoming out

This is how it stands at the moment -

What I plan to do is cut down the strut body and use a shorter strut insert

My problem is sourcing a shorter strut insert to fit into the suspension leg
Most suspension manufacturers only list model type etc -

What I basically need to know is what strut will fit into the body
This is a standard strut insert

Has a diameter of 45 mm at the top where the locking nut secures it into the body, and a main diameter of 47mm

I'm struggling to find a shorter insert (from any make) that will fit into the leg

Help

Cheers

Could be worth contacting Gaz, as they supply shorter inserts for the capri/escort legs...
