Hi All

Sorry its about a Fix Or Repair Daily, but some nice lady decided to pull out on Soph the other day and re arrange the front end of her Fiesta. Not caused much damage really just smashed the bumper and the indicator lights and buckled the wing. As the other lady has admitted liability and so have her insurance company Soph is going to make a claim for the damage.

Now chances are that as her car is a 1992 J reg Fiesta 4 speed 1L 3 door bog standard, its going to be written off. The plan is to buy it back (although the insurance company said its worth that little they will probably just give it back to her) and fix the damage.

The main reason for keeping it is, its only done 33,000 from new. 12,000 when Soph bought it 2 years ago. The usual little granny's shopping trolley that has spent most of its life parked in a garage.

Does anyone know of any web-sites or the what the value should be? all the sights we've checked on value as far back as 1996 and we want a slight idea so Soph doesn't end up with the insurance company trying to rip her off.

Sorry its so long winded but any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Steve

I looked on CAP and Glass's at work.

Not good news, the car is worth "disposal value", commonly known as scrap

Your best bet is to buy the autotrader or look on the website and look for similar examples to haghgle a "market value" with the insurance.

Have a butchers in Parkers Old Car Price guide, should have it in there. But as said, it probably won't be worth much!

parkers web-site will only tell you the price if you pay them. found a few new bits for it on ebay wing for ?15.99 +p&p bumper for a tenner so just so long as it covers the costs more than anything.

Yeah, a mate has a escort 1.1 bouns, its booked at 50quid. Buts its also a minter, and not been abused, so its real value is a few hundred quid more.

wings are welded on so insurance company would see it as more work for them to pay..

what you could have done was go into a body shop that does this obviously

go in, tell them what happened, they repair it and claim of the womans insurance your insurance neednt know.

did it to my sisters zetec s.

all went through fine everythings legit not cost her a penny.
