I've got the chance to buy a 2.0 8v Nova, the engine is from a cav sri 130. Just wondering if anyone has had one and what would i expect from it.

well, cos im so bored tonite, i'll reveal to the novaload world (not that people will care much, lol) i now own a calibra (barge) 2.0 8v - its not quick but it does go well enuff to defy the weight the thing feels like and the fact that it has only wot, 115bhp (mine's only the C20NE) pulls it like it does.. I wish it had the 130bhp 2.0 8v (code escapes me) but anyway, yeah its gonna pull like a train in a nova,.. more techy people will mention gearboxes cos you can put really long ratio-boxes on that engine - good for top end and possibly less likely to spin up so much first few gears, but with a close ratio box - u should get better acceleration.

C20seh is the 130bhp one iirc.

Good engines, reliable, easy to fix etc.

im goin to be the first one to say it then , if your gonna fit a 2.08v yourself , then dont bother its the exact same conversion as fitting and XE so might aswell go for the 20 extra bhp before you begin lol
