Well, havent posted any pics since doing the turbo conversion, been 3 months now. lol

Little bit about it; bought the engine of a lad who had it in a mk3 astra gsi, he was planning a V6 Conversion in that, so turbo was up for sale. I snapped that up along with the F20 Gearbox.

While the engine was out I did more strengthening, and cleaned the bay up etc etc. Changed the cambelt, rollers, water pump, gave it a little clean up and then me and a friend set about putting it into the Nova.

Since having the engine in there, I have had a bit of trouble with gearboxes, due to snapping bolts in the casting. I have since rectified this problem, was a weak rubber mount, and too high tensile bolts.

Car still looks the same as always; apart from the GSi bumper is currently off of the car, replaced by a stanrd mk2 one, as I have just fitted an Evo 8 FMIC, was cutting out this one practising forthe GSi, not happy with the way that the IC is sitting so I will have to modify the brackets before I put the GSi one back on:

Anyway, pics:

Engine Bay: (Got mostly samco hoses, including boost pipes with ally tubing)

Wilwood 4 Pots: (These were desperatley needed in place of V6 brakes!)

The engine is around the 280bhp mark. It ran a 13.1@108mph standing 1/4 at PVS this year, first time I'd ever been up the strip was that day, so I'm very pleased with that time.

I ran a 9.2@87mph standing 1/8mile yestaday, in the pissing rain, standing water.

Im very very pleased with the conversion, there are not many cars out there which will keep up with one of these!

Interior has also changed, I now have 2 Cobra Imolas S's, a full 6 Point SD cage, and a dash board, thats pretty much it. The inside is mostly in primer ready to be sprayed.

I've bought a new rear plate months back, and have misplaced it in the shed somewhere, so am waiting until I find that one. lol

Cheers for the comments

Looks pretty tidy. Guess you have had to use spacers to get the Wilwoods under the Speedlines?

Interesting, they must have changed there design as my mate had to run 10mm spacers with Speedlines and they only just went under Softstars. Did you get them new?

nice car - agree re IC - needs adjusting otherwise if you hit something low it'll be shagged.

It looks far too big...isnt there a smaller unit you can use

I was going say that/\
The standard grey finish bumper looks well, and suits the colour.
I would spray a gsi front/rear a dark grey.

Looks cool tho, liking the brakes, and the nice little engine lol :)
