Me electric windows cant get any power? Everything is where it's suppost 2 be, earthed by the center console, motors work, red and black wires plug into the fuse box in the correct place i think. But still nothing. Orginally my car didnt have electric windows so would i need to put a direct wire to the ignition and battery? or should it work by plugging them into the fuse box? any help please.
have you tested for a live at the motor ?

yeh its got a fuse in it, no i havent checked for a live at the motor, ive just riveted it to the door would this work or not?
If youre using the correct loom, have the right switches and the wires are wired up right in the door then it should work.
How did you thread the wires into the doors? If you went through the door edge then you may have kinked the wires causing a short. You should really drill through the side wall and into the door side (so the wires dont get crushed when door closed)
Disconect windows (remove the glass) and check the electrical arms work - possible the windows are jammed and slipers cant lift the windows.

the electrical arms do work because i sent a current straight from the battery to them so i could get them up, so the window was closed(it was raining). And no the wires arnt getting crushed.:( Its not looking good is it. I think the only problem is gettin the power form the 12+ and ignition. Can somebody take a photo of their fuse box and show me, making sure there in the right place?

look on the back of your fuse box cover to see which one it is for the leccy windows. The black wire coming out of the loom is for the windows and the red wire is for the central locking which you dont need to plug in to get the windows working and dont need at all if your not using central locking (obviously). When you look at back of cover to see which slot it is - there is a wire ran to the back of that slot from the slot beside or near it, when you plug in the black switch the circuit should be complete. If it doesnt work, follow the wire back to the ignition from the fuse box and check its not broke or anything
hope this helps

I think ive found the problem, the wire that connects the ignition wire to the windows slot has a massive bit of solder on it  so will have to change that.
cheers for the help

the door should have a selection of holes in it. its just a matter of lining up the 4 rivot holes but dont rivot until you have the window on the slider. There is only onw way you will get the 4 holes in at one time so cant be done wrong. The standard nova window winder only has 2 or 3 holes. If it isnt going the full way up make sure you have a bit of loose oil in round your motor and all those sliding moving parts and make sure you have nothing catching anywhere.
