you missed the bit at the end where they destroy a 67 mustang an put a lawn mower enigne in. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
the last bit i saw was where the well 'ard yanky street racer couldnt get an evo through a gap at the harbour without hitting anything !!
now, im no hexpert but if i was learning to drift id pick a car that a) wasnt 4wd and b) didnt have stupid gizmos designed to stop sideways movement !!
must be all that raw fish !
I assumed they did that thing you do with 4x4 Calibras involving a fuse to make it 2WD.... But good point about the gizmos to stop it going sideways. Mitsubishi have always pimped their cars in F&F films so I guess thats why they used the Evo! They put a RB26 Skyline motor in a Mustang even though the garage had been stripped out and they had no fabrication machinery to make up the engine mounts. Hmmmmm.

Yeah, i gave up with the F & F series after the 1st one lol, some truly shocking scenes in the 2nd, like the race at the start for instance with the multi coloured flames from the exhausts and the bridge jump lol
Whats wrong with drifting 4WD cars? lol
for some sad reason i know this: the evo's where converted to rwd by a company in new zealand.
and the engine for the mustang came out of a 200SX (well i thought it did)
but yea what a loada crap, they built, sprayed and fabricated stuff with no tools in a day - i recon the A-Team had something to do with this....

just forced myself to watch the rest of it - what a great ending, good ol vin diesesal
and as for school kids drifting cars through mountains - sounds like liverpool on a fri night !

What about drifting RC cars???
My little brother has been practising this.
You'd think it'd be cheaper on tyres but some are as pricey as full size budget tyres.

Its the RB 26 from the R32 Skyline written off at the start of the film.
I liked the way the paint came up on the Mustang when the rubbed a buffing wheel over it!!!
Yep, its a Skyline engine. Apparently its been done - as in there really IS a mustang with a RB26DETT engine in it - but for the film they just used mock-ups.
There's a video on google video somewhere where some people took footage of a mountain drifting sequence one night when the movie was being filmed. They can't drift to save their lives, took a fair few attempts lol
Didn't those bits look like CGI to you? I saw a DVD in Blockbuster last night called Initial D which I assumed followed a similar 'plot' as F&FTD

am i the only one that truely offended by the fact that there isnt a V8 in the mustang. "Nah dan iz put a bestest engine in a it fo real, nuff respeack"
An yes jack there really is a mustang with it in.
Faggots, im going to buy a limited edition skyline an convert it to a 1.5 TD and post it all round the net.
