i have a 1.2 nova and i would like to no what the biggest size head i can put onto the block and if it will make any difference.
if you can put bigger head on which cam would you use
Stick with the 1.2 head, if its a carb'd 1.2 engine.

Inlet manifold, and cam to something like a 270.
For a weber 32/34, use a 1300 inlet.

There was one up on the forums for ?70ish the other day, friend of mine is selling his in mint cond for ?200, so in that range.
tbh unless you really really want to keep the 1200 then leave it std....
for the amount of extra work for the additional gains it would be a hell of a lot cheaper sticking a 1.4 carbbed engine and whacking a weber 32/34 on it - or get a 1.6 engine.

Nope, you need a metal adaptor plate.
