wouldnt they be all the same baxter? As the X16 is just the slightly later version of the C16, so i dont think it makes a difference

c16xe and x16xe corsa hosea are the same. May have to mod top hose to get it to fit though.

That'll be why i had to cut mine as i have a non gen rad and the pipework exits the rad diferently.
With that spec you have do you think it would be wothwhile to upgrade to a full length gsi radiator for better cooling?

have you seen my fans lol

John

Yes i've seen the fans but just thought it'd aid cooling that little bit extra, sounds like you may need it unless the fans are gonna run all the time Lol! There will be a greater surface area to cool with a larger rad.

one comes on with the ignition, and the other is heat triggered (which has never come on)

The noise would do your head in, and how long is a fan going to last on full blast all the time.....

Erm , the point i was trying to make was that if you had a larger rad, with a bigger surface area to cool, then perhaps you wouldn't need the one fan running all the time, as the air passing through it would keep it cooler. Like long live says it's gonna do your head in, eat charge, and probably not last as long as it should.:thumb:

if i could fit a bigger frad i would :thumb:, there an small intercooler (cavalier 1.7td std unit) going to be slid up the side of the rad, untill i get a custom made front mount one

Gsi rad is a full length unit, and not any wider than your 1.2 item, only about 3 inches deeper, as the 1.2 rad sits on "stilts". Should be able to fit intercooler in as well.
Just out of interest, Is a cav td intercooler big enough? sound like the bumper is gonna block air entering, unless you've cut it out? A mate of mine had a 1.6 turbo and used a mk 4 astra z20let intercooler that sat in front of the rad, ( 15 quid bargain off e-gay) and used a slimline fan on the rear. Worked well, only a suggestion?

I am fitting a Pacet or Kenlowe uprated fan to the E16SE engine with an overide switch. All in for ?80ish quid i think.
