Couple of questions I'm wondering the answers too....

1. What date (as in month/year, officially) did they stop selling Mk1's and start selling Mk2's? I'm aware it was during H reg; and there will probably be a slight overlap as they sell off old Mk1's.

2. Are there any other 'special' models aside from the Hutchinsons conversions, Spyders, Sola (if thats the one with the mahoosive sunroof thingy...?) and Sport? I'm not counting just rebadged jobbies such as Antibes, Flair, Swing etc, I mean ones that are significantly different in some way - limited editions, etc.

3. With that in mind, are there any other models that should be in the following list that I've missed? What stuff (Electric windows, central locking, spoiler, alloys, vinyl etc) did each one have?

September 1990 was the mark1/mark2 switchover according to my max power haynes manual.

1990 Diamond came with nova 3 spoke 14" wheels, electric windows, "storm grey" paint (can get the code off the vin plate if needed), sunroof, 12ST&F10 (5 forward gears)(too much cack on it to read final drive), black vinyl between the front and back windows on the sides, and the least burberry interior ive seen on a nova so far.

I agree Sept 90 was the beginning of mk2's. Ive read it somewhere (ie most pattern part books etc). My 90 GSi registered Dec 12th has most of the cockpit plastics moulded on 09/90. Make of that what you will.

iirc there was a dart model released early mk1 around d reg had a yellow stripe etc ans saloon one had small rear lip spoiler

Xen0, the diamond is just a limited edition jobby, nothing signicantly different about it really, just options such as alloy wheels and electric windows thrown in as standard.

Also, it was available in a metallic red colour too - i've seen it.

autodata would be better for modelyears info etc. if i can be ****d ill look in the novas there is an autodata book in there.

nova 'sola' has a full length sunroof , looks like a rag top thing , pretty cool for the summer :thumb:
