Those of you insured by Highway (underwriters to many a company including HIC and Flux, and I believe are owned by Lloyds) may find this (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28074) to be very interesting reading.

Essentially, a chap on the MRC split a fuel hose in his RX7 on the way to a show, which caused a fire. The car was written off by the insurers - Highway - who then claimed he was running un-insured N2O, that he was racing, and their insurance policy doesn't cover the damage caused by the fire. They even went so far as to find him on the MRC forum and read through his previous posts on there.

Worth having a look; suffice to say Highway's customer service and general handling of the case seems to be quite appalling (let alone their refusal to pay out for damage which is covered by their T&Cs). Those of you currently insured with them, or thinking about insuring your car with them - bear in mind, as I said, they underwrite a lot of policies for companies such as HIC and Adrian Flux - may want to reconsider.
