im going to convert my mk1 nova into a mk1 sr lookalike.
i know i need grill side skirts bumpers and spoiler. what else do i need?
im wanting to do the pillars grey aswell. is this just a spray job?
also the car name on the boot aswell. how do i do this.
i want it to look like this. but blue

any help will be greatfull. its just to make the car look better.

Interior as well?

SR's didn't have the sideskirts afaik

no just the exterior.

you can spray them but they wont look right (I tried it and it was okay but not great).

You need the following -

Exterior
Front bumper and Grill
Side strips (not skirts)
Lower Vynal for sides of car (rare and expensive)
B pillar vynal
Window surrounds on front and rear of the car (you need both otherwise it looks gay)
Front window 1/4 rubber (this is different for the surrounds)
Rear Hatch with surround and Vynal (its easier getting the hatch that trying to fit the spoiler which is a biatch to do - believe me I tried - it never looks right)
If you can get hatch in blue (difficult) then you'll need a wrap spoiler and vynal strip from vauxhall (there was one of ebay a while back)
SR alloys (theyre 14" standards and theres plenty about - ebay) make sure you get centre caps
Rear bumper (not sure but I think the lower lip is different to standard mk1 bumpers - that could be just the GTE though)
Tinted Glass (?)

Interior
This depends largely on what Vauxhall did at the time but most had sportier seats (recaros with the bolsters), sporty steering wheel, speedo with rev counter, possibly different door panels.

And of course a 1.3 engine...

Dont think I've missed anything - maybe a couple of extra bits...

The vynal can be expensive (especially the sides) but you maybe able to get some from s signmakers - the back section maybe tough to get hold of - However there is a guy on one of the threads in general who was looking at removing his and may flog his hatch to you...

This little lot isnt going to be cheap (delivery alone will be expensive for most of it due to weight and size) - hope your folks are up for driving up about and collecting it (seeing as how you canrt drive yet).

Some had just hubcaps i think, cheeper option if you cant get wheels straght away :thumb:

I also have yet to pass my test, its not worth the hassel until you can go collect all the bits, im waiting (next month hopefully). then ill be getting some wheels, and other bits.

Not all SR's were fitted with 3 spokes.
Some did have the steelies with grey & red centre caps.

i thought all SR's came with stealies. mine came with them well nice grey hub caps. seriosly id love to have them back on!

I think come of the newer ones come with them, most i see have the black steelies with red centers.

Steelies were optional extra on Mk2 SR's :thumb: along with the sunroof and a few other bits

they wasn't, all mk2 sr's came with the same steelies as sri's

Its Your car, you pick. And in that top pic of the sr, it look asif theres a tonne of bricks in the boot!!!!
