hi all!! A mate of mine owns a local engineering company an he will lighten my xe flywheel for me for ?20 (bare in mind its a early xe out a 1990 astra gte), i was just wondering how much needs taking off it in millimeters ie 3/4mm etc with out going to far? and has anyone had this done by a engineering company any help is greatly appreciated

there's abit about lightened flywheels in this months total vauxhall, not sure if it goes into that much detail but maybe worth a look

ive had a look mate and it dont go into that much detail, courtney sport do one on exchange for ?175 that ?155 more than i can get it done for.Thats the reason i need to know how much to get taken off my flywheel, to save me some money

As said on phone earlier 3mm from the back face should see you right, so long as it's left as is where it bolts to the crank so that it stays in-line for the starter and clutch mechanism.
