Just wondered if anyone could explain or show me some pictures of exactly where and how much clearence i will need on the chasis leg, to fit an xe.

I am preparing my shell at the moment, but dont have my engine yet to get any measurements from.

any help appreciated.
Cheers, Ian

THe position of the 'nator is usally centered on the turret

so its best adjust something like this:

nice one, would you suggest making a cut and hammering it out and welding back up, or cutting and replating so as theres a ledge or 90 degree angle if you like??

i just took a lump hammer to mine, but while your welding it, might as well cut it and weld it back up

I cut along the yellow lines ive marked here, folded the lip/ledge that was at the top (below the turret seam) then pushed the 'flap' that id cut round in, trimed a few nothes to the side of the red line then inserted a small plate in the shape of the red area to fill the gap.
