just going to do a head gasket on a 1.4 8v nova , are they stretch bolts ? they have hex heads.

if so what is the procedure , if not whats the torque setting they should be ?

Yep, stretch bolts. I take it you're going to replace them with new ones? This should always be done when doing a head gasket imo as once they've been stretched they don't tend to stretch the same if being re-used.

Torque it down, from the middle, back bolt and work you're way out in a circular method.
25 nm and the three stages of 90 degrees, (i think i'm sure someone will disagree with me though!)

Im pretty sure its 25Nm, then three stages of 60deg.

Get a piece of card and mark the angle on it.
