I recently fitted a full magnex stainless exhaust and manifold to my 1.6 gsi, if I was to put a 2litre 16v in, would the exhaust fit that or would the manifold on a 2.0 16v fit onto the main part of the exhaust from the manifold back? I'm considering a 2.0 16v transplant, but as I have just spent quite a lot on my exhaust then I would like to know if it will fit or not, so I can decide whether to leave it a while or not.

cheers

You should be able to use the SS exhaust from the flexible joint back, You will have to mod the astra down pipe to meet up corectly with the flexi joint, Or get a SS tubular manifold made to do the job!:)

Plese don't let busses pull out.

have a look at
http://www.proven-products.co.uk/competition_exhausts.htm
they do a ready modded 16v manifold for novas it is just over ?65 and it mates to gte/gsi systems (I will be using one on my 16v conversion in march and I'll get kev to take pics of it) :D

Won't there be a problem in keeping the Nova exhaust as the Nova is 45mm diameter and the valver is 50mm? I?m asking 'cause I have a supersprint Group N exhaust on my gte wich I would also like to keep!
Cheers!

i'm running a nova gte stainless system with the astra manifold cut and shortened to fit the nova system. andy b has magnex nova gsi system also, (but i think an sbd manifold)and they never harmed our power figures at the rolling road day :D
