I'm in the same boat but have a 1.2 carbbed nova.

I think the only bit you need is the engine electrics - the rest is the same (cabin wise).

The other option is to contact someone on here who strips dsown GTE's and ask them for a price on the entire loom.

Try Colin Smith (cominesmith@aol.com) - I find him helpful...

i looked at doing this and work it out to be cheaper to buy a GTE than trying to convirt.but ade i know you have done some mega modding to your shell and if you insuracne is sod all as you may be old gits then your not in the same posishion as i was am.

why swap them over, just mod them to fit the new engine, its only a few wires lol

from a 1.2 carb to say gte,

from your gte injection loom you will have a connector with
green
red
red\blue
black

ect ect

injection - carb loom
green - green
red - red (live)
black - black (switch live)
blue/red - not in loom run to fuel pump

its rather easy colour to colour

As baxter said, tis pretty straightforward, the GTE loom is self contained, so you have about 7wires to connect up.
You'd also need a MPI fuel pump.

Have a look at this guide:-
