rear arches!!!

hi 2 all who read this!!!

dose any 1 know the easyest way 2 roll the rear acheres???

cut the lip offf???? or fold the lip in????

can any 1 help?????

dont cut the lip...............it'll b real hard 2 keep the rust away if you do........no matter how much paint u put on it

body shops have specialist tools that roll the arches.

if you roll make sure you remove all dirt 1st from the lip, then if youre brave enough tap gently in an upways motion with a hammer - gently mind - use a block of wood against the arch to act as a dampner...

Then once folded up (only need to go about 3/4 fill the gap behind with seam sealer (NOT silicone rubber) - can get it from halfords.

If the arch is rusty you may need to clean it out and sort that 1st as if you hammer it it'll just loosen the rust.

Bodyshop will do it for ?50+- a bit and depending on arch conditions.

You can grind the arch lip back a bit - but leave about 5-6mm - then seal it with hammerite or similar and seam seal it.

Seam sealer must be applied to anything you bend ot grind as you'll open the jpints up - sealer blocks these gaps and makes the gaps watertight. Once dry it can be painted over...
