Would you f*cking Adam and Eve it. My Nova has been fine for weeks now, no problems at all. Now, with less than 48 hours to my first track day I hit problems. Just doing some last minute preparations and found that I've got a wheel cylinder gone on the offside rear. Well p***ed right now, after so much effort my fate rests in the hands of the motor factors :mad:

Feeling a bit inferior today anyway as when I was having my tracking done today another Nova rolled in along side me. Well, I say Nova, I should say beast! Full spec group A Nova rally car running Corsa 1400 16v, probably best spec imaginable pushing out 250+ bhp :eek: Made me feel very small indeed. It sounded beautiful though, brought a tear to my eye lol

Yeah, 250 head said, Over ?15,000 spent on the engine alone, not mention the 6 speed quaif dog box (that's BIG MONEY for those that don't know). Maybe he was exagerating on the power a bit but he was telling me that that he does work on Steve Griggs' Corsa 1600 16v (local rally boy) and the 1400 he had with him was beating the **** off the 1600 on slighlty lower spec.

it isnt 250 bhp lol lol lol, I dont know the car but can say he spun you a small yarn there.(trust me)

Also to add bowyer was the daddy with the 8v lumps etc but john reed has taken top slot at the moment regarding valvers and left bowyer behind. Not by alot but enough to make the difference imo

John Reed? That might be it actualy, the engine cover had JRE printed on it. As I said, 250 may be an overstatement but still, a beauty of a nova with Steel crank & rods, high lift cams, TBs, ECU, Dry sump and all of the matching head work.

SMall Block 6 Speed Box, or custom?

AFAIK the only small block 6 speed box for vauxes is the Corsa VXR, when it comes out?

Not exactly custom, Quaif sell 6 speed internals for most vaux boxes.

you can get a 6 speed dog box from a few gearbox people... they arent cheap though
