First off I'm new here,52 years old and was a mechanic for over 15 years,but have been out of that work for a long time.My son has a 75 nova with a goodwrench 350 engine that was put in a few years ago.Been trying to help him over phone.Engine has miss and pops in carb when throttle is pushed.I had him do compression check to rule out valve.All cylinders 160 lbs.Replaced plugs of which 1 was dead.new distributer cap and plug wires.Checked timing and double checked for crossed plug wire.The butterfly on exasht manifold is rattling.I'm wondering if it's not staying open and choking exast on that side.Any ideas?Thanks.
